Important: Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of losing money. Your AI assistant can make mistakes. Always check the order card before you confirm a trade.
Once connected, your AI assistant can use the PrimeXBT tools below. You don’t need to call them by name: just ask in plain language, and the assistant picks the right tool. The tool names are listed so you can recognize them in your assistant’s activity.
Besides the tools, the assistant gets a built-in PrimeXBT knowledge base. It covers hedge vs netting accounts, perpetuals vs CFDs (for example, BTC/USDT pays funding while BTC/USD pays swap), stop-loss and take-profit as separate orders, dynamic and isolated leverage, and demo vs live accounts. This helps it answer questions like “Why did my sell open a second position?” correctly.
Account and positions
Available with both Read only and Read and trade access.
Tool | What it does |
| Accounts available to the connection: ID, currency, demo or live, and position mode (hedge or netting) |
| One-call overview: balance, equity, unrealized P/L, available margin and all open positions, shown as a card |
| Balance, equity, P/L, used and available margin. Answers “how much can I risk?” and “am I close to a margin call?” |
| Open positions. On a hedge account, each leg is a separate row |
| Net position per instrument, as shown in the terminal |
| Working orders, including your positions’ stop loss and take profit |
| Filled, cancelled and rejected orders, with the reason |
| Actual executions, including the real fill price of a market order |
| Everything about one order: how it ended and all its fills |
Markets
Available with both Read only and Read and trade access.
Tool | What it does |
| Finds an instrument by ticker, pair or name (for example, “bitcoin” → BTC/USDT) |
| Current bid and ask, including your account’s spread |
| Order book, including your account’s spread |
| Price history (OHLCV) from 1 minute to 1 month, shown as a chart |
| Top gainers, losers and highest-volume instruments over 24 hours, filterable by category (crypto, forex and more) |
Trading conditions
Available with both Read only and Read and trade access. These tools return the conditions for your account, not generic values.
Tool | What it does |
| Your account’s conditions for one instrument: min and max size, size and price step, fee, financing, leverage, margin type and exposure cap |
| Trading and holding costs for all instruments: maker and taker fees, funding or swap and the next charge time, and leverage |
| Current and maximum leverage per instrument |
Trading
Available only with Read and trade access. Every trading action goes through a preview first: the assistant shows you the order card with numbers calculated by the PrimeXBT engine, and the action runs only after you confirm.
Preview Tool | Action Tool | What it does |
|
| New order: margin, expected price, liquidation level, stop loss and take profit |
|
| Changes a working order’s price or size and shows the effect on margin |
|
| First shows what the order is (an entry, or a position’s stop), then cancels it |
|
| Closes a position and shows the realized result |
|
| Sets or moves a position’s stop loss and take profit |
|
| Changes leverage and shows how margin and the liquidation level will change |
— |
| Cancels all working orders, for the whole account or one instrument. Leaves stop loss and take profit in place by default |
cancel_all_orders is the only action without a preview. It exists so you can react fast, and it never opens a position.
