Contests

Contests allow participants to test their trading skills and compete with other participants to win prizes. All contest participants are provided with virtual funds creating a risk-free environment.

Participants compete against each other by trading global markets such as Crypto, Commodities, Forex, and can monitor their progress on the leaderboards.

The higher your returns — the higher your ranking will be!

The Contests interface consists of 3 sub-sections:

  1. All Contests – this page reflects all ongoing and upcoming as well as finished contests. Here participants can join contests and review details of ongoing, upcoming and finished contests.

  2. My Contests – this page reflects contests joined by the participant. Here contest participants can review their contest stats, as well as access their trading accounts for each separate contest.

  3. Launch - this page allows you to review the conditions for launching your own branded contest. Make sure to review our special article on How to launch a contest.

How to join a Contest and start trading

To join an ongoing or upcoming contest, navigate to the 'All Contests' page.

1️⃣ Choose a contest that you wish to join and click 'Join' (to view contest details and conditions, click 'View'):

If the ‘Join’ button is greyed out and the Contest has a ‘Full’ label, it means the maximum allowed number of participants have already joined it.

2️⃣ A pop-up window will now appear where you will find the prize distribution conditions, the initial contest account balance, as well as qualification details.

Here you will need to choose your Nickname for this contest. Your nickname will be used to show your current position in the leaderboards. Once you've chosen your nickname and reviewed the rules and conditions, click the 'Join' button:

Once you've joined a contest, it will be added to your list of ongoing/upcoming contests, on the 'My Contests' page:

3️⃣ To start trading in a contest that you have joined, click the 'Start' button (or 'Trade' button if you have already accessed that contest account previously):

If the 'Start' button for a contest is greyed out and unclickable (see screenshot above) - this indicates that the contest has not started yet. Click on the contest to check the time remaining until the contest begins.

It is important to keep in mind that a contest can only be joined once. After joining a contest it is not possible to leave and rejoin the contest or reset contest trading account balance.

If Turnover or Trades indicator is highlighted in yellow, it indicates the participant's turnover or number of trades is not sufficient yet to qualify in the contest.

To learn more about the Trade interface, how to place orders and manage positions, see our 'Understanding the Trade Interface' guide.

My Contest statistics

After joining a contest, it will be reflected on the 'My Contests' page:

Clicking on a contest in the list will open the Contest statistics page. Here you will find your personal contest stats as well as overall statistics of the contest:

  • My Contest stats – contest conditions, such as awards, timeframes, qualification requirements, leaderboard rankings, as well as a 'Trade' button which can be used to access the trading account for this contest

Each contest will be tied to a separate trading account and balance.

  • Profit – profit chart which reflects your 24h as well as all time profit in the contest

  • Awards – placement and prize distribution details

  • Trading history – details of your trades made in the current contest. A more detailed trading report can be generated by clicking the 'Trading report'.
