Understanding the Trade Interface
Updated over 7 months ago

Global Markets (Margin trading) page (also known as Trading Terminal or Trade Interface) is where all trading actions are performed - placing orders, managing positions, monitoring market charts, etc.:

The interface of the Global Markets trading platform is used to monitor the market, place trades, control your orders, positions and reflects detailed statistics of your Trading account. Trade interface consists of 2 main parts: the Financial Summary bar and your Workspace (outlined with yellow in the screenshot above).

Regular trading account and a Copy Trading Strategy trading account have separate, independent Trade terminals.

Financial Summary bar

The Financial Summary bar consists of 4 parts: The '+' widgets button, Margin account currency indicator, Trading mode button and Trading account statistics:

1. The '+' Widget Button

This button opens the widget menu from which you can add widgets to your Workspaces.

Clicking the '+' button will bring up the Widget menu:

There are 7 different widgets which can be added to your Workspace:

  • Chart widget: highly customizable Chart with a large array of charting tools;

  • Watchlist widget: helps monitor market activity for selected trading pairs;

  • Dashboard widget: shows spread for selected assets and specific order volumes;

  • Positions widget: manage all open Positions;

  • Orders widget: manage all active Orders;

  • Trades widget: reflects recently executed Orders;

  • Messages widget: reflects logs of all recently placed, cancelled, rejected, modified or executed orders, as well as margin call and position liquidation notifications.

2. Margin Account Currency Indicator

Shows the selected Margin Account ID, and its base currency

3. Trading Mode button

Trading Mode button allows you to select the desired trading mode. Clicking on this button will bring up the Trading mode menu:

There are 3 Trading modes:

  • Regular trading: a 'New order' form is brought up whenever you attempt to place a trade. This will allow you to select additional parameters for your trade before sending your orders. Additionally you will receive a confirmation prompt whenever Sending/Cancelling/Closing an order or position.

  • One-click trading: allows you to control orders and positions with one-click. Orders and positions will be Sent/Canceled/Closed immediately and without confirmation prompts.

    • Default order type is set to 'Market';

    • No protection orders are attached to new orders (but can be added manually after an order has been placed);

    • New order quantity is defined by the quantity selector near the trade (Red/Green) buttons.

  • Dbl-click trading: allows you to control orders and positions via double-clicks. When double-clicking, orders and positions will be Sent/Canceled/Closed immediately and without confirmation prompts

    • Default order type is set to 'Market';

    • No protection orders are attached to new orders unless added manually after an order has been sent;

    • New order quantity is defined by the quantity selector near the trade (Red/Green) buttons.

Make sure to exercise caution when using One-click and Dbl-click trading as accidental clicks can lead to unwanted orders being placed.

4. Trading Account Statistics

Here you will find financial details of your Margin account:

  • Reward: reflects bonus Equity received from special offers or promotions;

  • Equity: reflects Balance + Unrealized P/L (from all open positions) + Reward;

The 4 default widgets are Chart, Watchlist, Positions and Orders. You can add or remove any widgets from your workspace. Also you can move, rearrange and resize widgets by clicking and dragging them by the borders (see our short guide on Widgets and how to customize your workspace).
