Important: read before you connect. Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of losing money. AI assistants can misunderstand a request or make mistakes. Your assistant only prepares orders; you decide and confirm every trade, and you are responsible for it. Always check the order card before you confirm. PrimeXBT does not control your AI assistant and does not see your conversation with it.
What is MCP
PrimeXBT MCP lets you connect an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to your PrimeXBT account so you can check your account, research markets and prepare trades in plain language.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use external services in a controlled way. Once connected, you can ask things like:
“What’s my equity and how close am I to a margin call?”
“Show BTC/USDT on the 4-hour chart for the last week.”
“Buy 0.25 BTC at market with TP 121,000 and SL 111,500.”
The assistant answers using live data from your account. Any trade it prepares is shown to you as an order card first, and nothing is sent until you confirm.
Compatible assistants
PrimeXBT MCP works with any AI assistant that supports remote MCP servers, including:
Claude (claude.ai and the Claude apps)
ChatGPT (web, Developer mode required; available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education plans)
Claude Code and Codex (coding agents)
Whether a paid plan is needed is decided by each AI provider, not by PrimeXBT. PrimeXBT MCP works with both demo and live accounts, so you can try everything on demo first.
How to connect
Connecting takes a few minutes and needs no API keys or code: you add one link to your assistant and log in to PrimeXBT.
Start on PrimeXBT
Log in to PrimeXBT and open the PXTrader 2.0 trading terminal.
Select Connect AI at the top right of the chart.
In the AI connections window, choose where you want to connect: ChatGPT, Codex, Claude or Claude Code. The window shows the steps and the server URL for that assistant.

Connect ChatGPT
Enable Developer mode. In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
Add PrimeXBT. Open Plugins, select + and name the connection PrimeXBT. Paste the server URL and choose OAuth.
Authorize access. Create the connection, log in to PrimeXBT and choose the account and access level to allow.
Start a conversation. In a chat, open the + menu, select Developer mode and add PrimeXBT to the conversation.
Connect Claude
Add a connector. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and select Add custom connector.
Add PrimeXBT. Name it PrimeXBT and paste the server URL.
Authorize access. Select Connect, log in to PrimeXBT and choose the account and access level to allow.
Start a conversation. In a new chat, make sure the PrimeXBT connector is turned on in the tools menu.
Try your connection
After connecting, ask your assistant: “Show my PrimeXBT account balance and open positions.” If it answers with your balance and positions, you are connected.
Access settings
You decide what your assistant can do. When you log in to PrimeXBT during setup, you choose one account and one access level:

Things to Note:
One account per connection. You can pick any account, demo or live. The assistant cannot switch accounts; to use another account, connect again.
The server enforces your choice. Limits are checked by PrimeXBT, not by the assistant, so a request outside the account or access level you chose is refused.
No money movement. No connection can deposit, withdraw or transfer funds.
Revoke at any time. Turn off access in one click in your PrimeXBT client area. Changing your password or using “log out everywhere” also ends all connections. Access expires automatically after 30 days, after which you reconnect.
Your conversations stay with your AI provider. PrimeXBT does not see your chat, only which actions were requested. Data the assistant fetches, such as your balance and positions, becomes part of the chat and is handled by your AI provider under its own terms.
