Requirements
To create an API key, you need:
A PXTrader 2.0 account: the Trading API works only with PXTrader 2.0 accounts.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled: 2FA must be turned on before you can create a key.
How to get access
Enable 2FA:
Go to 'Settings' and turn on two-factor authentication if you haven't already.

Contact Support:
Open the live chat and let us know you'd like to use the Trading API. We'll enable API access on your account.
Create your API key:
Once access is enabled, go to 'Settings', find the Trading API section and create a new key. Choose the PXTrader 2.0 account and permissions for the key.
Save your secret key:
Copy your secret key and store it in a secure place, such as a password manager. It is shown only once.
Important:
Secure your key: your secret key appears only once, right after you create the key. Store it securely. If you lose it, it can't be recovered, and you'll need to revoke the key and create a new one.
One key, one account: the account and permissions are fixed when you create a key and can't be changed later. If you need different settings, create a new key.
Trusted addresses: you can restrict a key to trusted IP addresses or subnets, up to 32 per key. Only requests from these addresses will be accepted.
Instant revocation: you can revoke a key at any time. Access stops immediately.
Never share your secret key. Anyone who has it can access your account through the API. PrimeXBT will never ask you for your secret key. If you think your key has leaked, revoke it right away.

I can't see the option to create an API key. Why?
API access is enabled on request. Contact our Support team via live chat, and make sure 2FA is turned on for your account.
Can I use the Trading API with accounts other than PXTrader 2.0?
The Trading API is available only for PXTrader 2.0 accounts at the moment.
I lost my secret key. Can Support send it to me?
The secret key is shown only once and can't be recovered. Revoke the old key and create a new one.
Can I change the account or permissions of an existing key?
The settings are fixed when the key is created. If you want to change settings, you will need to create a new key with the settings you need and revoke the old one.
