MT5 Cent Accounts

Info about the "Cent" account type for MT5

MT5 Cent accounts are designed for traders who want to trade with smaller volumes while experiencing real market conditions. This account type uses USC (US Cents) as the base currency in the MT5 terminal, allowing you to manage risk more effectively by trading in smaller increments.

Currency and Balance Display

  • Trading Terminal: Your balance in the MT5 terminal is displayed in US Cents: USC (1 USD = 100 USC). For example, if you deposit $10 USD, your MT5 account will show 1,000 USC.

  • Account Dashboard: In your main PrimeXBT account section, your balance will still be shown in USD.

Trading Specifications

To help you manage smaller positions, the Cent account uses adjusted lot sizes compared to other MT5 account types:

  • Lot Sizes: 1 lot on a Cent account is equivalent to 0.01 lots on a Standard account.

  • Contract Size: While the contract specifications state 100,000 units, please note that for Cent accounts, this represents 100,000 cents of the base currency.

  • Swap-Free: The swap-free option is available for Cent accounts, just like our other account types.

  • Bonuses: Remain available for Cent accounts, just like our other account types.

Available Instruments

The Cent account offers a selected list of popular trading instruments:

  • Forex: Major and Minor pairs.

  • Metals: Gold (XAU) and Silver (XAG).

  • Crypto: Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).

Leverage and Margin Requirements

Cent accounts use fixed leverage. However, there is a specific limit based on your account equity:

  • Once your Cent account equity reaches $1,000 USD, any new positions opened will be subject to 10x higher margin requirements.

  • This effectively reduces your leverage (for example, leverage that was 1:1000 would become 1:100).
